Chronology of cameras Certo

Traduction de Manuel M

The Certo corporate was based in Dresden in 1902 by engineers Alfred Lippert and Karl Peppel.

The Super-Sport Dolly makes it possible the choice to obtain negative 6 X 6 or 4.5 X 6 by removing an hiding cover located in front of film.
On the back of the camera, in front of the red windows allowing to position film with the desired format, one finds a articulated plate which has a table of depth of field to the recto and a scratch pad to the back; It makes it possible to take notes on the cliché. Attention, it does not act of a system comparable with Autographic from Kodak, because here the notes are not marked on film.

There exists a model B which can use plates and as from 1937, a model equipped with a coupled rangefinder.
